Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can you do a website for me?
A: Mr.P Productions only does simple small business websites, so if you do not have a SMALL BUSINESS and/or do not intend to pay more than $300.00 for a website, the answer is NO

Q: Do you take pictures?
A: No. My services do not include photography or videotaping. You must provide your own pictures and video for your website.

Q: "Can you write up/type everything up for me, and I'll just give you the pictures?"
A: My time is very limited. That is something I do not do. You should save your website content as a Microsoft Word Document as your backup file (these files end in ". DOC" when you save it), then copy the file from Word (Ctrl+C) and paste it (Ctrl+V) to your email to me @ "MrPProd@aol.com"

Q: How much do you charge?
A: Please e-mail me.

Q: I have pictures I would like to post on my website?
A: The Company (that's you) must provide ALL pictures on a 3 1/2 floppy disk, CD-R, CD-RW or Zip Disk in PC format to the Consultant (that's me) or you will be charged IN ADDITION to the normal hourly fees, this includes but is not limited to purchasing film, scanning pictures, and transferring pictures to a CD or ZIP disk format.

All your Website and/or Flyer content MUST BE grammatically checked and spell checked PRIOR to submission via E-Mail to MrPProd@aol.com.

All music files must be provided on a Compact Disc.

Q: Can you add sound clips or background music to my website?
A: Yes, I have the ability to do that. However, sound clips and background music should ALWAYS be kept to a maximum length of 30 seconds, due to file downloading time and the file size. Typically we will loop your background sound file.

Q: How do I get everything started with my website?
A: You must register your own domain name first and foremost (ex: www.MrPProductions.net), then decide who will host your site (ex: Geocities.Yahoo.com will register your domain name AND host your site). Your webhost will bill you by the month and IN ADDITION, I will provide the graphics and maintain the content for your site, at my hourly fee. I can also ONLY register your domain name, however I will charge you for this too.

Once you have done the preceding, then you will be given a Website Development Agreement, which you must review and requires your signature on the last page.

Q: "I have this font I want to use for my whole website. Will it work?"
A: Well yes, and no. Fonts are tricky on the web. Your favorite fonts, such as Comic Sans, may default to a universal PC font which everyone has, such as Arial or Times New Roman. Also the body of your website should ALWAYS be readable (like the font i'm using now), so avoid funky fonts for body text. An nice header is the alternative solution. I cannot add more fonts to my computer at this time, but I just "happen to have" have 1000+ already on file... so you can go to a font website, such as FreeFonts.com, and maybe write down a few font names and email them to me to see if they are available on my computer. From there we use the font to make the Headings, Splash Page and Navigation Buttons (Menu Bar)

Q: How much webspace do I need?
A: Most people only need 25 MB of webspace, due to graphics, sound clips and background music.

Q: Can you make my website with Macromedia Flash?
A: No. I may offer that as a service in the near future.

Q: How long did it take you to do THIS website?
A: Months upon months of time has been put into my business website. Hours of formatting and making images have resulted in what your currently see. Each frame on this web-SITE is in it's own little web-PAGE, detailed with TOP QUALITY graphics. Everything from the flashing logos on the top, to the colored scrollbars on the sides and middle of the page, has been "webmastered". In order to get your site to look like this, you must understand how much time it really takes to put a good looking website together.
