Ministries


Sunday School – Brings together the principles of Bible Study and Nurturing for Baptist Churches (NBC) by providing Biblical instruction in a classroom environment.



Bible Study – Bible Study Engages participants in interpretation of Biblical scriptures.



Nurturing for Baptist Churches – Nurturing for Baptist Churches (NBC), challenges participants to examine the Bible for wisdom and instructions on Christian Living. Specific emphasis is placed on topics that promote spiritual growth such as Prayers, Spiritual warfare etc.



Christian Institute – Christian Institute is a teaching ministry that incorporates the study of Scripture, Biblical History and Theology. Christian Institute participants examine the cultural, geographic, political, and social environment during the time that Biblical events took place.


New Life Class – A Baptist perspective on the New Life in Christ



The Nurse’s Ministry – Provides care and medical attention to the congregation. In addition the Nurse’s Ministry assist the Pastor in various capacities during regular service and special services such as baby dedications and funerals.



The Liturgical Dance Ministry – The mission of the Liturgical Dance Ministries of New Hope Baptist Church is to evangelize through dance. The Liturgical Dance Ministries of New Hope Baptist Church enhance the worship experience by lifting the name of Jesus, glorifying God, and bringing His Word through dance interpretation.



Christian Education Ministry – The responsibility of the Christian Education Ministry (CEM) is to provide the Church with an efficient and effective means of equipping members for ministry and to be disciples of Christ, so that they may achieve unity in the faith and be strengthened in their knowledge and understanding of Biblical principles. In addition, the Christian Education Ministry provides resources, including various teaching ministries, which are designed to promote spiritual growth and encourage evangelistic outreach.



Missionary Ministry – The Missionary Ministry is dedicated to the fulfillment of the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28: 18 –20. They show forth the love of Jesus Christ through their work in homeless shelters, nursing homes, visiting the sick and shut-in and wherever else the Lord calls them to serve.



Martha Johnson Floral Ministry – The Floral Ministry is responsible for the beautification of the Church grounds as well as placing flowers in the sanctuary each Sunday Morning.



Men’s Ministry – The Men’s Ministry of New Hope Baptist Church’s goal is to present an effective ministry of men of all ages, both married and unmarried. It is the desire to establish a vehicle by which men can use their God given abilities, gifts, and talents effectively in the work of the church to the glory of God. The Ministry is also designed to equip men to endure the spiritual battle that satan wages against them in their daily lives; to equip men to be effective husbands and spiritual leaders within their homes and marriages; to build Christian character and self esteem among each other. The endeavor is to build a strong brotherhood.



The Mother’s Ministry – The Mother’s Ministry is responsible for the organization, maintenance, and management of the New Hope Baptist Church Outreach Center. This ministry is open to the community, offering free clothing to those in need on an ongoing basis. They also provide blankets to the homeless during the winter, prepare dinner for senior citizens annually, and provide a free Thanksgiving dinner to the community annually.



Music Ministry – We the music ministry of New Hope Baptist Church endeavors to accompany the preaching, teaching, and overall ministry of and to the Body of Christ through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, worshipping and praising the Lord with thankful hearts.



Scholarship Ministry – Provides financial support to those preparing for higher education. Although the financial support is limited to members and their children, the Scholarship Ministry also provides resources and training for college and career planning



Pastor’s Aid Ministry – The primary responsibility is to care for the Pastor and his family ensuring their spiritual and physical needs is met.



Ushers Ministry – New Hope Ushers, juniors and seniors, are members of the Interdenominational Church Usher Association of New England, Inc. State of Massachusetts. The mission of the Usher Ministry is to be doorkeepers for New Hope Baptist Church. We enhance the worship experience by warmly greeting members and visitors, assisting all congregants, and controlling movement in the House of God.



Youth Ministry – Offers several ministry and teaching opportunities specifically design for young people. A primary goal of the Youth Ministry is to equip young people with the Biblical wisdom necessary for everyday life. Nurturing for Baptist Churches and Sunday School offers Youth Classes for various age groups



Youth Adult Ministry – Vision Statement

The New Hope Baptist Church Young Adult Ministry is committed to the development of spiritually mature young adults dedicated to the uplifting of God’s Kingdom. In service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, members of New Hope Baptist Church, age 18 years to 35 years, aim to live circumspectly in accordance with the Word of God.

The foundation, or “cornerstones”, of the Young Adult Ministry is as follows:

Work
The Young Adult Ministry dedicates itself to the advancement of God’s Kingdom by working within and outside New Hope Baptist Church and the surrounding community to aid those in need of help, support and encouragement.

Worship
As Baptized Believers, members of the Young Adult Ministry are encouraged to gather in Christian fellowship regularly and to boldly lift up the Name of the Lord in song and praise. Members are also encouraged to participate and support, including financially all regular and special services at New Hope Baptist Church and other Houses of Worship to which its body receives invitation.

Wisdom
The Young Adult Ministry encourages daily individual and/or group Bible Study. In addition, members strive to increase their knowledge of God’s Word by participating in at least one teaching Ministry.

Witness
Whenever possible, members are encouraged to provide testimonies of the Grace and Mercy of the Lord observed and demonstrated through their own personal experiences and/or the experiences of others.
