The Mio Digiwalker c310x is a compact portable GPS device which was been discontinued by the manufacturer. It eliminates the need to print out maps for travel (buh-bye Mapquest, Google Maps etc), it will put you in the right direction if you are lost, and has several 1000 points of interest during your travels (gas stations, atm machines, department stores, hotels, restaurants, etc). This device also has mp3 player built in, but you will need to purchase a separate SD card to load your music onto. When this device is modified, you have access to Windows CE, and you can watch your converted dvd movies or tv recordings, if you add The Core Media Player (TCPMP) to the device. A great standalone entertainment device in general which requires minor hacking. I purchased one for my mother and she loves it just for the GPS, she hasnt even tapped into the movie watching.
